Dawnrunner Inc. is an award-winning film and video services company founded in 2006 in the San Francisco bay area. Recently, Dawnrunner has moved its base of operations to the Sierra foothills, and we have expanded in game development and book publishing.

Our small crew of passionate and experienced filmmakers have a knack for innovation. Since the company's founding, the company has tackled diverse commercial and creative projects. Dawnrunner's relationships with many Bay Area freelance filmmakers allows us the ability to handle projects ranging from small three-person projects to large-scale productions.

There are great stories waiting to be told, but navigating the world of indie book publishing can be a challenge. Dawnrunner Press is a new division of Dawnrunner that's dedicated to bringing these stories to market. We offer a full suite of publishing services—from editing, to covers, to marketing—so writers can focus on writing without worrying about how to get visibility for their books.

Dawnrunner is committed to enhancing our community. In 2013, we received a Communitas Award for leadership in community service for our work on the Film Experience – the Summer Camp we put on each year in partnership with Starting Arts in Santa Clara. Inspiring the next generation of filmmakers is one of our missions.

James Fox is the Founder and CEO of Dawnrunner and brings with him the creative power of 14 action-packed years in the film industry. As the principal Director for Dawnrunner he has lead the company through numerous award-winning projects He has been recognized within the industry for his passion and determination to advance the industry through education and outreach, and has spoken numerous events. His ``breaking down barriers`` approach to filmmaking, creativity and technical street-smarts have labeled him a visionary for the future of visual storytelling through new methods and technological innovations. He refers to his crew as family, and provides strong and charismatic leadership - and an inexhaustible well of excitement and energy.
